How to use your hotel's printed information materials!

In the historical era in which digital pervades every single aspect, contrary to what one might think, paper material has not gone out of fashion, nor has it lost its strategic importance, but remains fundamental in certain contexts and formats such as the hotel industry.

Communication, understood as the sum of every expression of your hotel, is what distinguishes you on the market and helps to make you remembered. The more a hotel is able to offer a defined and coherent image of itself, the more it stands out from others and allows customers to recognize it and choose it.

Once the identity of the structure has been clarified, it is necessary that this is correctly declined in the various offline and online contexts (brochures, business cards, letterhead, institutional website, social profiles, etc.).

What are the most used paper materials? Who are they aimed at and what do they have to communicate?

Business card is a concentrate of the structure's identity: in a small paper space, the hotel's logo and name, telephone numbers, web and social media contacts and physical address must be present.

Brochure is the tool in which the information on the structure and its services is best explored, mostly aimed at operators in the sector, therefore using appropriate language. There must be attractive elements with the website and the technical sheet that make everything recognisable.

Flyer is the information tool, more concise than the brochure, in which the structure and its services are described. It is aimed at the guest who can find it both at reception and in the room. It must therefore contain information that is actually useful for those staying in the structure (breakfast times, Spa opening times, etc.) and use an attractive language that is consistent with the identity.

Newspaper, is a tool that contains daily information for the guest in the facility, such as the menu of the day, the weather conditions of the day, the recommended excursion, etc.

Welcome letter, is a welcoming tool for the guest who will find it in the room upon arrival. In addition to offering a welcome, it serves to give the very first useful information to the guest who has just arrived, such as the wifi password, reception opening hours, the services available to him in the facility. Even in this case the language will not be cold and heavy, on the contrary it must make the guest feel at home, always maintaining coherence with the identity conveyed in the other tools.

An orderly and clear arrangement of the paper information material will be fundamental through the displays for leaflets and brochures to be placed in the hotel lobbies or in the lounge areas.
