The machines Cooled Water require water both for the production of ice, which for cooling the gas refrigerant, through a condenser where the heat exchange takes place between the hot gas coming from the compressor and the water coming from the water mains.
The advantage of this type of condensation is that the machine can work even in small spaces, for example under the table, without suffering too much outside temperatures.
On the other hand, having to use the water not only for the production of ice but also for the condensation, the water consumption is greater than the machine cooled air.
Air-cooled machines in fact cool the refrigerant gas through a radiator fan. In this case the machine needs sufficient space ventilation (at least 15 cm per side and behind) in order to ensure a proper ventilation of the machine and dispersion of the heat that is blown out by the fan.
