How and why to choose a space-saving table

The space-saving table is a convenient and smart solution for those with limited space or for those who don't want to give up inviting many friends over but want to avoid cluttering the kitchen and/or dining room.

If 3 or 4 chairs are commonly sufficient for daily use, having a non-folding table for 12/14 people only takes up unnecessary space. Not to mention the effort required to move chairs when cleaning...

Space-saving tables therefore represent the ideal solution because they extend when needed and can be easily stored in a small space when not in use.

Space-saving tables are divided into categories:

• folding or collapsible tables that fold back on themselves and can be stored effortlessly
• extendable tables – fixed tables that can be extended as needed
• console tables – length-adjustable tables that, when closed, can serve as a computer desk or be installed in an entryway, and when open, transform into a dining table
• suitcase tables can be easily transported and fold into a practical suitcase-style block
